Service charges for Reduced Mileage Awards:

There is a $20 award service charge (per person) for award reservations made at an American Airlines Travel Center. There is a $35 award service charge (per person) for award reservations made by an American Airline airport Agent. These fees are fairly annoying for a card that charges an annual fee of $450.

The American Airlines Executive MasterCard is designed for frequent fliers who routinely choose American Airlines for their travel (and spend a lot along the way). The card does offer a generous signup bonus (75,000 miles) to new members who qualify which can be redeemed for three round-trip domestic main class cabin awards.. It also gives members a decent rewards program with purchases from American Airlines and US Airways earning double miles. Where this card really shines is with travel-related benefits such as priority boarding, priority check-in, first checked bag free benefit, a statement credit for the Global Entry or TSA Pre-Check application fee, and access to the Admirals Club lounge. For American Airlines frequent fliers, this card definitely delivers.
